This is interesting, but doesn't really shed a lot of light on who is the best goalkeeper. It might be that the best keepers are playing for the best teams. But both ratings and saves per game will be low for keepers in the superior teams dominating most their matches, though they will have a lot of clean sheets. The most interesting statistic would be the percentage of chances saved. Since this wouldn't measure field work etc, and different teams have different chances against, it wouldn't settle the question of who the best goalkeeper is. But it would go a long, and it should be possible to compute from the data that whoscored has.
