Team News

Man Utd
Crystal Palace
  • Jose Mourinho will field an experimental side in their last Premier League game of the season with one eye on their Europa League final three days later.
  • Joel Pereira will be handed his first ever Manchester United start, while youngsters like Demi Mitchell, Scott McTominay, Josh Harrop, Matty Willock, Angel Gomes and Zachary Dearnley will all be involved.
  • Paul Pogba has missed United's last two matches on compassioante leave but Mourinho expects the Frenchman to be involved on Sunday to get some sharpness ahead of next week's final.
  • Eric Bailly picked up a knock against Southampton in midweek but is expected to shake that off and feature on Sunday, but Marouane Fellaini could miss out after sustaining a muscle injury on Wednesday.
  • Tim Fosu-Mensah will make a surprise return from injury at the weekend, while Chris Smalling won't be risked after picking up a minor injury.
  • Crystal Palace secured their Premier League status last weekend and the pressure is off for them ahead of their trip to Old Trafford.
  • Andros Townsend and Yohan Cabaye picked up knocks against Hull last time out and their availability is in doubt here.

Prediction

  • Manchester United have all but given up in the Premier League and are now waiting for the Europa League final next week. They are winless in five Premier League matches and Jose Mourinho is expected to blood through several youngsters on Sunday.
  • This match also means nothing to Crystal Palace after Sam Allardyce's side secured their Premier League status last weekend. This would be a good opportunity to get a rare win at Old Trafford for the Eagles but the performance levels may dip given it's effectively a dead rubber contest.
  • United have drawn more games than anyone else in the Premier League this season and it would be a fitting end to a poor season if their final league game of the season also ended in a stalemate.

  • WOW these kids really have good skills, pace, and abbility, Harrop, Mitchell, Gomes, they are good at a ball, just give them experience and some minutes, watch that match, i will play mitchell rather than luke shaw, #MUFC

  • Mitchell MoTM, absolutely brilliant. Plays like a young, rough Marcelo. Obviously not on his level yet.

  • @Aereze well his attacking game is perfect i think cbj is more likely to get mins next season

  • Pogba scored! This will get him both the Ballon d'or and the Best FIFA Men's Player award!!!11!!1!1!!!!11!

  • @BeautifulLoser Oh just shut up, he deserves the goal after the week he's had.

  • Remélem nyer a Manchester United mert hiszek bennük

  • 2-1

  • I would play Pereira, Bailly, Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe, Mitchell, Willock, Pogba, Gomes, Mata, Rooney, Harrop. Bench: Henderson, Jones, Carrick, Lingard, McTominay, Martial, Redmond

  • United ypungsters are actually good ones and no more than 2-3 of them will start. Palace looked tired and unmotivated at times recently so I think this is United win 3-2

  • I guess an away win here is the more logical.

  • @Hany365 more logical !!! ))))))))))))) 2:0 down what logic u r talking abou ?! lol iam the logic here

  • hey guys....United will not loose today its impossible even if they played with U16 players they will not loose and i know of what iam saying i go for double chance United

  • @delpiero1100 u r always 100% sure.. lol And u miss 60% of the times.

  • @Hany365 iam 90% right dude

  • @delpiero1100 Ha,ha,ha

  • -2,5 g

  • Another 4-0 for The Walrus, the superior manager in this match-up.

  • @What4 you lost your title today , a position you love so much

  • if i was jose joel bailly jones tuanzebe mitchell willock mata pogba mctominay rooney martial

  • @_WL_ jk i want a whole youth team

  • @_WL_ Angel Gomes might play :D

  • @Aereze he is good enough but i'm not sure if he is physically ready especially considering his reoccurring injury. Watch out for harrop he oozes class and rarely looses the ball he clearly made an impression with the hatrick against spurs

  • @Aereze I'd be happy with that. I'd replace Jones with Fosu-Mensah if he can play though.

  • @SethTrollins fosu an tuanzebe could be a great cb pairing as they are both strong and good passers

  • crystal palace can't sink united at oldtraford draw @ 1 - 1

  • What an idiotic preview, José's basically said who he 's gonna play and you put THAT on it?

  • @Aereze How's it idiotic? He's said Harrop, Willock, Mitchell, Pereira and I think that's it will play a part. He could mean he'll bench them. I can see him playing Pereira, Bailly, Tuanzebe, Fosu-Mensah, Mitchell, Willock, Pogba, McTominay, Mata, Rooney, Gomes

  • What an idiotic preview, Joé's basically said who he 's gonna play and you put THAT on it?

  • United 1 - 1 Palace
