Team News

Hoffenheim
Augsburg
  • Manager Julian Naglesmann could stick with a 4-3-3, as centre-back Benjamin Hübner is still a major doubt to recover from a head injury in time.
  • With Nadiem Amiri doubtful to recover from a knee injury as well, Kevin Vogt could therefore switch to the positon in central midfield again.
  • Sandro Wagner could replace Ádám Szalai up front.
  • Marwin Hitz is suffering from muscular problems and could be replaced by Andreas Luthe in goal.
  • Caiuby and Raúl Bobadilla will most likely start on the bench again to provide attacking options in the second half.
  • Otherwise, manager Manuel Baum has no reason to make any changes.

Prediction

  • Hoffenheim have put pressure on Dortmund with a 5-3 win at Bremen last weekend. They only sit behind BVB by four goals and will look to get a big result here with the possibility of securing direct qualification to next season's Champions League group stages alive.
  • Augsburg need at least a draw here to secure their survival, without being dependent on the result of the Hamburg-Wolfsburg match. They have a strong chance of staying up regardless, but are in danger of dropping into the relegation play-off spot in the case of a big defeat here, should Hamburg manage to win by a smaller margin.
  • Expect Hoffenheim to try to put pressure on Augsburg from the outset.
