Team News

Bayern
Freiburg
  • Tom Starke, Philipp Lahm and Xabi Alonso are all expected to start in their last game for Bayern.
  • Mats Hummels will most likely return to the starting XI to partner Jérôme Boateng at centre-back.
  • Manager Carlo Ancelotti has no injury concerns in attacking positions and could field his strongest possible line-up.
  • Caglar Süyüncü returns from injury and challenges Marc-Oliver Kempf for his spot at centre-back.
  • Mike Frantz is fully fit again as well and could replace Amir Abrashi in central midfield.
  • Vincenzo Grifo will most likely keep his spot on the left wing, with Onur Bulut expected to remain on the bench.

Prediction

  • Bayern are already crowned champions, but want to bid Tom Starke, Philipp Lahm and Xabi Alonso a fond farewell. After their exciting 5-4 win at Leipzig last weekend, the'll look to put in another attack-minded display, with Robert Lewandowski currently leading the Bundesliga's top-scorer ranking by only one goal.
  • Freiburg currently sit in a very strong sixth spot and could qualify for the Europa League after an amazing campaign. They would need a win here to secure it without being dependent on other results and could start this match on the front foot as well.
  • Expect Bayern to try to dominate the game from the outset and Freiburg to get their opportunities on the break.

  • Lewa had last minute chance and passed in front of goal, instead of going for the top scorrer... respect. They were winning already, 1st place secured, and still, a pass. wow

  • Everyone is scoring except Lewa

  • damn, Lewandowski lost the chance to be top scorer.

  • it will be an exhibition match alot of goals from both sides

  • @delpiero1100 Exibition match? This is the game which decides wether Freiburg is gonna make it into the Europaleague or not. Not many goals are likely.

  • @neumi17- They may do anyway if Leipzig are kicked out due to parent ownership of them and Salzburg. Presumably every team would effectively move up one place in the league (?)

  • @SteveHyland Don't think this is gonna happen

  • @neumi17 lol not many, just 4

  • @DelJuve Lol to you too , just 1 up to the 72 nd, 2-1 until the 91 st...

  • Title decider
