Team News
Wolfsburg
Bayern
- Jérôme Roussillon is struggling with a calf problem, so Yannick Gerhardt could return to the side wearing a special mask after a facial fracture.
- Renato Steffen is available after suspension.
- Xaver Schlager is doubtful with a muscle tear.
- Admir Mehmedi is constantly battling Achilles pain, while Paulo Otávio is out with an ankle injury.
- William has suffered an ACL tear and Ignacio Camacho has an ankle injury.
- Hunting Gerd Müller's all-time Bundesliga scoring record of 40 goals almost 50 years ago, 33-goal Robert Lewandowski wants to play every minute. He scored five goals in nine minutes against Wolfsburg once before, so anything is possible.
- Sven Ulreich, Michael Cuisance, Javi Martinez and Sarpreet Singh all started last weekend, while talents Joshua Zirkzee, Chris Richards and Jamal Muslia all came on as subs.
- David Alaba is doubtful with an ankle knock. Flick has already promised Álvaro Odriozola a rare start. Benjamin Pavard may be rested.
- Serge Gnabry has heavy bruising and Ivan Perisic is also doubtful according to coach Hansi Flick.
- Back-up keeper Ulreich might lose his spot to Manuel Neuer who will need to get his eye in for next week's German Cup Final.
- Alphonso Davies is available after suspension.
- Thiago underwent groin surgery and has the DFB-Pokal final in his sights for a return.
- Philippe Coutinho and Corentin Tolisso have both had ankle operations and are ruled out. The Brazilian is the likeliest to return before the season is done and dusted.
- Teenage striker Jann-Fiete Arp has recovered from an arm injury but will play for the reserves in the third division, while Niklas Süle is back in light training again after suffering an ACL tear.
I would be shocked if Bayern didn't win 7-1
@SeuneMilmas Well, are you shocked yet?
