Team News

Chelsea
Leicester
  • Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger will likely return in defence for Chelsea after skipping the midweek defeat to Arsenal, with Cesar Azpilicueta expected to move out to right wing-back.
  • N'Golo Kante and Jorginho will be reunited in midfield after being rotated in recent games to keep them fresh, though the latter was at fault for Arsenal's winner on Wednesday. Mateo Kovacic is also back for the final.
  • Christian Pulisic was seen limping after the defeat to Arsenal but Timo Werner is expected to take his place in the team here anyway.
  • Ben Chilwell played 90 minutes against Arsenal in midweek so logically Marcos Alonso should start here, though the former will be desperate to face his former club Leicester in the final.
  • Jonny Evans has missed Leicester's last two matches through injury and Brendan Rodgers will be desperate to have him back here.
  • James Maddison should return to the starting XI at Wembley after being partially rested against Manchester United in midweek.
  • Ricardo Pereira was an unused substitute against United and will hope to be recalled here, though it wouldn't be a surprise if Marc Albrighton kept his place.

Prediction

  • May could prove a wonderful month for Chelsea, as they close in on a place on the top four and could yet end up winning the FA Cup and the Champions League. Thomas Tuchel has only suffered defeat three times in 26 games as Chelsea manager, although one came on Wednesday to Arsenal.
  • Leicester ended their two-game winless streak with their first victory at Old Trafford since 1998 on Tuesday night but Brendan Rodgers' side didn't look great even against a second-string Manchester United side. Rodgers' has a woeful record against Chelsea as manager, winning only one of 16 previous encounters with the London outfit.
