Team News

Nottingham Forest
Sheff Utd
  • Steve Cooper remains without injured trio Wayne Hennessey, Omar Richards and Felipe.
  • Cooper is expected to continue with a three-man defence on Friday night, though may make one change to the side that lost at Arsenal.
  • Taiwo Awoniyi scored off the bench last week, and could replace Danilo in attack.
  • Daniel Jebbison and Oliver McBurnie will be assessed.
  • However John Fleck, Rhian Brewster, Ismaila Coulibaly, Jayden Bogle and Rhys Norrington-Davies all miss out.
  • After a narrow defeat to Crystal Palace, Paul Heckingbottom may go with an unchanged XI.

Prediction

  • Nottingham Forest worked hard to get their way back into the game at Arsenal last week, but were unable to find a crucial second in the capital. They will take confidence from a solid display at the Emirates, however.
  • Sheffield United were very much second best against Crystal Palace last week, and the 1-0 defeat flattered the Blades. The Yorkshire side did win their last trip to the City Ground, however, winning 2-1 here back in May 2022.
  • On home turf, Forest will certainly fancy their chances of claiming a first three points of the season on Friday night.
