Team News

Osasuna
Barcelona
  • Chimy Avila could be back in the side following his suspension.
  • Juan Cruz replaced Johan Mojica in the starting eleven last week, it remains to be seen whether he will keep his place or not. Jesus Areso could also start over Ruben Pena.
  • Iker Munoz and Pablo Ibanez were started as the two pivots last week, they could keep their spots too in a heavily rotated side from how Osasuna began the season.
  • It is reported that Ansu Fati will leave the club in the coming days on loan, whilst Joao Felix could join Barcelona on loan.
  • Pedri could be back from injury this week, but his fitness for the game remains to be seen.
  • Segi Roberto could keep his place, whilst Alejandro Balde should come in for Marcos Alonso, who could leave the club before the transfer window closes.

Prediction

  • Barcelona came from behind last week to beat Villarreal 4-3 away from home, and will hope for an easier match against Osasuna, who themselves beat Valencia 2-1 last week, but were also beaten in the conference league by Club Brugge.
  • Barcelona have not lost to Osasuna in six meetings, but notably scraped past the visitors last time the two met, only winning 1-0. Osasuna have had mixed form in their first three games of the season and Jagoba Arrasate seems yet to find his preferred starting eleven. However, rotation and squad competition is healthy and Barcelona could be in for a surprise if they turn up on form.
  • Barcelona could have Joao Felix in the door by the time the game takes place, he is increasingly linked with a move to Catalonia having been ostracised from Ateltico Madrid.
