Team News

Real Madrid
Getafe
  • Real Madrid should make one change from their victory over Celta Vigo - Vinicius Junior is injured so Joselu should come in to replace him.
  • Other than that, Madrid have a lengthy injury list and Ancelotti has confirmed that there will be no new arrivals this summer.
  • There are limitations to the changes Madrid can make, and will likely have to stick with their team and formation regardless.
  • Brahim Diaz could feature due to Vinicius' injury.
  • Getafe got their first win of the season last week against Alaves, winning 1-0 with a five at the back - they will surely use this again against Real.
  • Former Madrid player Borja Mayoral should start up front for Getafe over Juanmi Latasa.

Prediction

  • The hosts will be without their star forward Vinicius Junior in their first Madrid Derby of the season. Moreover, Joselu will be the direct replacement and will be stretched when playing in a role as free-roaming as Vinicius' was.
  • Getafe will undoubtedly see this as an important opportunity for a point, and will likely bed in with their five at the back that saw them beat Alaves last week. Real Madrid will be cautious going in to this one and Getafe will look to make it as hard as possible for them. What's more, Getafe have kept the joint most clean sheets in La Liga so far (2).
  • Madrid though have won their previous three games against the visitors, and with Jude Bellingham at the tip of Ancelotti's midfield spear, a win always looks likely for Los Blancos.

  • Modric had 3 clear dribbles. Why has he just one here?

  • Real Madrid will equalize the score and win as well

  • @Kinan776 When did you write this ?

  • Anybody knows why Alvaro Rodriguez from Castilla is not in the first squad? Nowhere an article or mention about him. Last season there were 1 or 2 games where he appeared (e.g. against Atl.Madrid and scored). Then Ancelotti said he will be with the first squad in the next season etc. Now, silent...Looks this guy is forgotten.

  • @Torta2 Since his goal against Atletico Madrid, he has only scored 2 goals in Casilla so far, There has not much progress, so he is still in Casilla.

  • @Mediatime I see, thanks for the info. He looks promising, I would give him chance again in the first squad. Maybe somewhere in the season...

  • Easy Win for Real Madrid.Bellingham to score anytime.

  • @Marbella Yet another Bellingham goal :)
