Team News

Almeria
Real Betis
  • Largie Ramazani was played in the lone forward role last week in Almeria's narrow loss to Getafe, and with the injury to Luis Suarez, he could be preferred there again for the game against Betis.
  • Idrissu Baba played well last week in the centre of the park and could have a place next to Lucas Robertone in the hole on Sunday.
  • Alejandro Pozo is returning from injury and could feature at full-back against Betis.
  • William Carvalho and Rodri are fresh additions to Betis' injury list and will likely not feature this weekend.
  • Third choice goalkeeper Fran Vietes could give way for the returning Rui Silva, but has impressed Manuel Pellegrino lately between the sticks.
  • Betis should field their strongest XI to maximise their odds against a winless Almeria.

Prediction

  • Almeria are still winless and Gaizka Garitano will be racking his brain as to how his side can hold on to a leading position. It seems inevitable that when Almeria - usually early on in a match - find themselves in the driving seat, they succumb to mounting pressure and throw away their chances before the final whistle blows.
  • Largie Ramazani in the forward role could provide some answers on Sunday as his clever runs and natural feet could mean goals for the home side in this one. The Belgian has been so impressive this season that he will be undoubtedly linked with some prestigious clubs come January.
  • Betis lost in the Europa League on Thursday evening so will be looking to use the fixture against Almeria to gain some confidence back. With Willian Jose, Assane Diao, and Ayoze Perez firing on all cylinders, linked together by the brilliance of Isco, will likely prove too much for the hosts to handle as a collective.
