Team News

Celta Vigo
Cadiz
  • Joseph Aidoo remains injured for Celta Vigo and is unlikely to feature against Cadiz on Monday evening.
  • Celta's strongest midfielders are all fit and ready to play. Bamba is back to full fitness and Luca de la Torre should partner with Fran Beltran in the centre of the park.
  • Isa Carcelen, Rominigue Kouame and Robert Navarro are all fresh additions to Cadiz's injury list. They will be assessed ahead of Monday, with Carcelen the most likely to play.
  • Chris Ramos should get the nod over Maxi Gomez up top, who was unable to make a significant impact against Mallorca on Wednesday evening.

Prediction

  • With both sides considered as fairly low-scoring teams, it may come as a surprise to learn that Iago Aspas and Roger Marti both lie in the first and second bracket of top players creating chances and generating shooting opportunities this season. With the potential to be a high-scoring, entertaining game, this one is also very much a six pointer down at the foot of the table. Only three points separate 18th placed Celta from Cadiz, who lie in 16th.
  • The visitors were able to go to the Balearic Islands on Wednesday evening and earn a comfortable draw against Mallorca. Building on their form away from home has been a slow but sure process from Cadiz this season as they aim to edge further and further away from the relegation zone.
  • That said, Celta have played in two four-goal thrillers this season and if Rafa Benitez gets his players firing, they could cause Cadiz some problems.

  • 5 goals? I don't see ever happening. Based on previous matches, I don't see more than 2.5 goals.
