Team News

Cadiz
Real Betis
  • Both Ruben Alcaraz and Fali return from suspension and will be available for the Betis match.
  • Fede San Emeterio is still yet to appear back in training and the key midfielder could be out injured for another couple of weeks.
  • Alvaro Negredo is no longer a Cadiz player after the veteran had his contract terminated last week.
  • Juanmi appeared from the bench and has the potential to make his full debut on Friday.
  • New boy Chimy Avila continues to struggle with an ankle injury and is training on his own. He could have to wait until the end of the month at least to make his debut for Betis.
  • Pablo Fornals came on as a substitute against Getafe, he could well start against Cadiz.
  • Nabil Fekir started up front last week amidst the speculation around Willian Jose's future and could play there again this weekend.
  • Youssouf Sabaly is back in training.

Prediction

  • Cadiz welcome Real Betis on Friday to face an impressive defence under new boss Mauricio Pellegrino that has kept two clean sheets in the last two games in La Liga. Betis themselves are on a slippery run of form that sees them with two wins in the last five matches.
  • Valencia overtook the visitors in 7th after game week 22 and Las Palmas are hot on Betis' heels, sitting only three points behind them. Manuel Pellegrini's side will have to show real grit with the help of their January signings to haul themselves back to the European places.
  • Cadiz, although in the relegation zone, are three points from 15th and must keep their cool through continuing their solidarity at the back if they want to edge away from danger in the coming weeks. Like most matches at the Mirandilla, this should be a low-scoring affair.
