Team News

Real Sociedad
Cadiz
  • Takefusa Kubo is a doubt for this one following a hamstring strain he picked up against Granada.
  • Jon Pacheco provides an extra defensive option for Imanol Alguacil as he returns from his one match ban.
  • Kieran Tierney could start over Javi Galan after coming off the bench to provide an assist last weekend.
  • Fali returned to the bench last week for Cadiz in the 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid last weekend, he could well feature at the heart of defence against Sociedad.
  • Juanmi scored twice in the monumental victory and seems to have found his feet down the middle in attack for the visitors.

Prediction

  • La Real welcome Cadiz to the Reale Arena a week after both sides picked up three points each in the last La Liga game week. Sociedad got over the line against Granada while Cadiz stunned a travelling Atletico Madrid. The reverse fixture between these two ended 0-0 back in December, as did the meeting previous to that. The last goal in this match up came in August 2022, with Sociedad the 1-0 victors.
  • What's more, Sociedad haven't lost to Cadiz in the last seven meetings. Saying that, Alguacil's men haven't kept a clean sheet in eight attempts and some counter-attacking quality from the visitors combined with the defensive showing they played with last week could be all it takes for Cadiz to record their first back to back victories of the season.
  • The hosts only squeezed past Granada last week - who sit below Cadiz - and managed to concede two goals. A draw is a likely outcome in this one.
