Team News

Livingston
Rangers
  • Davie Martindale named just one change to the Livingston team that lost their midweek match 1-0 to Hearts at Tynecastle last week, before defeat to Dundee at Dens Park by the same scoreline at the weekend.
  • Jack Hamilton replaced Shamal George between the sticks against his former club and kept his place. Miles Welch-Hayes, Mikey Devlin, Sean Kelly and James Penrice continued as the back four.
  • The only alteration saw Daniel Lloyd-McGoldrick take Mo Sangare's place to accompany Jason Holt, Scott Pittman and Andrew Shinnie in midfield. Stephen Kelly continued to support Joel Nouble in attack.
  • Rangers manager Philippe Clement named just one change from the Gers team that advanced to the Scottish League Cup final thanks to a 3-1 win against Hearts at Hampden, before they beat Sparta Prague 2-1 at Ibrox on Thursday night.
  • Jack Butland remained between the sticks. James Tavernier, Connor Goldson and Borna Barisic continued in defence, alongside Ben Davies, as Leon Balogun isn't in the Gers' European squad for their Europa League campaign.
  • John Lundstram and Ryan Jack sat in front of the back four again. Todd Cantwell, who doubled the Gers' advantage in midweek, joined Sam Lammers and Abdallah Sima in support of lone striker Danilo who opened the scoring against Sparta.

Prediction

  • Second bottom hosts second top heading into the weekend's games, as Livingston take on Rangers in West Lothian in the first of two Scottish Premiership matches this Sunday.
  • The Lions have lost four consecutive Scottish Premiership matches, failing to score in their last three league games. Livi have been a solid side in Scotland's top tier for a good few years now, but seem a shadow of their former selves. Their task to get back to basics, but more importantly winning ways, here isn't easy and they could end up bottom of the league before they play Rangers.
  • The Gers are gathering some momentum under Belgian boss Philippe Clement. On the cusp of qualification from their Europa League group, they've been able to cut the gap at the top of the table to five points. However, this weekend they play before the league leaders and bitter rivals Celtic so could trim the gap further - to two points - before the Hoops play Aberdeen in Glasgow.
  • Livingston will want to put up a fight and a solid showing, but Rangers are redefined under their new gaffer and should leave West Lothian with a comfortable victory.
