- Hibs boss Nick Montgomery named two changes to the Hibernian team that advanced in the Scottish Cup thanks to a 3-1 win up in Inverness against Caley Thistle, before a 2-2 draw at Pittodrie against Aberdeen on Saturday.
- Luke Amos made his first start for the Hibees in the Highlands, but made way for Dylan Levitt to accompany Joe Newell and Nathan Moriah-Welsh in the middle of the park. Emiliano Marcondes came off the bench to equalise so is pushing for a start.
- Élie Youan replaced Eliezer Mayenda to start on the left of the Hibees' front three, as Martin Boyle - who opened the scoring - started on the right flank in support of Myziane Maolida up front.
- Dundee boss Tony Docherty named just one change to the Dee team that enjoyed a 2-1 victory over St Johnstone in the Tayside derby at Dens Park, before a comfortable 2-0 victory at home to Ross County last weekend.
- Having played a back three often this season, the Dee opted to stay with four at the back. Jordan McGhee and Owen Beck continued at right-back and left-back respectively, with Joe Shaughnessy and Aaron Donnelly at centre-back.
- The sole change saw Dara Costelloe start on the right-hand side of the front three, at Zach Robinson's expense. Scott Tiffoney, who bagged a brace against County on Saturday, supported sole striker Amadou Bakayoko at the weekend.
