- Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers named four changes to the Celts side that was held at home in a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock the weekend before last, before they left it late to beat Motherwell 3-1 at Fir Park on Sunday afternoon.
- Alistair Johnston recovered from a head knock against Hibernian, to take Anthony Ralston's place at right-back. Maik Nawrocki also entered the back four, taking Stephen Welsh's place as Cameron Carter-Vickers returned to the bench.
- Tomoki Iwata made his first Celtic appearance since December, starting in midfield alongside club captain Callum McGregor and Matt O'Riley. Nicolas Kühn replaced Luis Palma, who sealed the deal after Adam Idah's brace, on the right hand side.
- Dundee boss Tony Docherty named an unchanged Dee team after a comfortable 2-0 victory at home to Ross County the weekend before last, despite losing 2-1 to Hibernian at Easter Road on Saturday afternoon.
- Having played a back three often this season, the Dee opted to stay with four at the back. Jordan McGhee and Owen Beck continued at right-back and left-back respectively, with Joe Shaughnessy and Aaron Donnelly at centre-back.
- Luke McCowan, Mo Sylla and Lyall Cameron continued as the midfield trio.
- Dara Costelloe and Scott Tiffoney, who bagged a brace against County at Dens Park, supported sole striker Amadou Bakayoko in Edinburgh once more.
