Team News

Gaziantep FK
Konyaspor
  • Janio Bikel and Max Gradel have been called up to the Guinea-Bissau and Ivory Coast teams for the Africa Cup of Nations, so Bryan Acosta will start in midfield.
  • Max Gradel's usual deputy, Alexandru Maxim, is suspended, so Lazar Markovic, who has served his suspension, will start on the left and Deian Sorescu will continue on the right wing.
  • Ilker Karakas is set to lead the attack as Denis Dragus is also suspended.
  • Ulas Zengin, who wasn't expected to start here, is injured.
  • Muhammet Demir has undergone cruciate ligament surgery and will not be available for some time.
  • Gokhan Tore is also injured but he wasn't expected to start here anyway.
  • Bruno Paz, another non-starter, has travelled to AFCON 2023 with Angola.
  • Adil Demirbag is injured and Francisco Calvo has signed for FC Juarez so Ugurcan Yazgili and Metehan Mert will start at the back.
  • Paul Bernardoni has signed for Yverdon Sport FC. Deniz Ertas will start in goal.

Prediction

  • Gaziantepspor shared the spoils with Sivasspor in a 2-2 draw last time out. They were the better team and created more and clearer chances but had to be content with a point. Acosta and Sorescu already look like their contribution to Gaziantep's campaign will be immense. They haven't won in their last five home outings and that streak might continue here.
  • Konyaspor held Antalyaspor to a 1-1 draw last time out. They looked solid in midfield under Nzonzi's leadership and created quite a few chances from set pieces. Omerovic's aim will be to reduce the tempo and try and exploit Antep's fragile wing-backs with long balls. They will certainly create chances here.
