Team News

Napoli
Real Madrid
  • Pierluigi Gollini is joined on the sidelines by centre-backs Amir Rrahmani and Juan Jesus.
  • As such, Natan should start alongside Leo Ostigard at the heart of the Napoli defence.
  • David Alaba should be fit to feature for Real Madrid on Tuesday night.
  • However, Carlo Ancelotti is without injured trio Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao and Arda Guler.

Prediction

  • Napoli followed up their 4-1 win over Udinese in midweek with a 4-0 win over Lecce over the weekend. The return to form is a welcome boost ahead of Tuesday's visit of Real Madrid after a three-game winless run.
  • Real Madrid eased past Girona in their top of the table clash on Saturday night. Los Blancos have won their two meetings with Napoli, both by a 3-1 scoreline, though those victories were back in 2017.
  • Napoli look back to form, but Real Madrid's experience in the competition could help them to victory on Tuesday night.

  • harsh 2-3. overall the difference was made by the clinicality of the defense. napoli were indecisive in tackling jude & vini & arguably rodrygo & thats how goals & chances were created. rudiger however manhandled osimhen pretty well aside from the couple headers. overall though, madrid dominated the 1st half, napoli created mostly half-chances aside from the goal & the 1-2 scoreline was accurate. 2nd half napoli dominated far more & the tide was even less balanced than the 1st half, but this time in the italians' favor, with madrid creating nothing. perhaps the final result is also deserved after a relatively unlucky pen given away by nacho. going forward - napoli seems too incomplete to win this cup as showcased today. some problems in defense, only a few danger men going forward as opposed to city & real. real - solid as always, balling out & having leaders in almost every pos, but showed that they can be dominated, scored against &, somewhat, defended against (atleti). might win

  • X2 & Over 1.5 @1.74 odds

  • 2-3

  • for me madrid are more complete & with a better gameplan, more weapons and clear vision going forward than napoli who rely on osimhen as a focal point and beyond that no other player really shows up these days decisively (and it makes sense considering they love to spam crosses and through-balls to the guy even when he's marked). so i think real can deal with that limited system even though they showed significant weakness in defending crosses the other week. napoli are very good off the ball though and i do believe they can make it hard for madrid and maybe even win with their pressure in midfield and solid defence. im leaning towards a 1-2 same as whoscoreds prediction
