Team News

Aberdeen
Livingston
  • Interim Aberdeen boss Peter Leven named an unchanged Dons team after they beat St Johnstone 1-0 at Pittodrie, before a wonderful 4-0 win at Easter Road against fellow strugglers Hibernian in Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon.
  • Kelle Roos continued behind an unchanged Dons defence consisting of Nicky Devlin, Angus MacDonald, Stefan Gartenmann and Jack MacKenzie. Connor Barron and Dante Polvara, as skipper Graeme Shinnie sat on the bench, were in midfield.
  • Junior Hoilett started on the left hand side, with Jamie McGrath on the right. Leighton Clarkson was starting slightly more advanced in the middle of the park, supporting lone striker Bojan Miovski up front.
  • Livingston manager Davie Martindale named three changes to the Lions team after their relegation was confirmed with a 4-1 defeat to Motherwell, before they bounced back to beat St Johnstone 2-1 in West Lothian on Saturday.
  • Shamal George continued in goal behind a back four of Sean Kelly, Mikey Devlin, Michael Nottingham and Cristian Montano, making his first start since mid-March in place of Ayo Obileye. Jason Holt was missing from the matchday squad.
  • Daniel MacKay dropped to the bench as Joel Nouble was rewarded with a start, after netting his first league goal of the season against Motherwell. Bruce Anderson moved to the left flank, as Tete Yengi returned from suspension in attack.

Prediction

  • Aberdeen are looking to finish top of the bottom half in the Scottish Premiership, as they take on an already-relegated Livingston at Pittodrie in midweek.
  • The Dons had been defeated in five of their last six visits to Easter Road when taking on Hibernian, so to come away with a resounding 4-0 victory is incredibly impressive despite the game not meaning much in the grand scheme of things. However, Aberdeen appear to be finishing strongly as they're now unbeaten in seven league games, winning five of those and three on the spin.
  • The last fixture to be drawn four times in a Scottish top flight campaign was Dunfermline Athletic vs Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2011/12, as Livingston's late equaliser against St Johnstone appeared to be wiping that one from the history books. However, a late winner for the hosts put a smile on the fans' faces after what's been a troubled Scottish Premiership campaign for Livi.
  • Livingston gave a good account of themselves last week but, despite holding Aberdeen at home in two goalless draws this season, the Dons have been decent recently and will look to hand Livi a second league defeat of the season at Pittodrie.
