Team News

Everton
Tottenham
  • Brendan Galloway may keep his place at left-back after making his league debut at West Ham last week.
  • Aaron Lennon is ineligible to face his parent club and could be replaced by Aiden McGeady in the starting XI.
  • Roberto Martinez is without injured quintet Bryan Oviedo, Tony Hibbert, Darron Gibson, Steven Pienaar and Leighton Baines.
  • Vlad Chiriches returns from suspension, but is unlikely to feature. Michel Vorm is a doubt through illness, so Brad Friedel could deputise on the bench.
  • Kyle Walker and Ben Davies are both sidelined in what are Mauricio Pochettino's only injury concerns, while Emmanuel Adebayor has been allowed personal leave.
  • The Spurs boss may be tempted to name an unchanged starting XI from the one that secured a 2-0 win over Hull.

Prediction

  • Everton secured a late 2-1 win over West Ham last week and will hope to end the campaign on a high. The Toffees have underwhelmed this season, yet can guarantee themselves a top half finish with a victory over Spurs.
  • Spurs' win over Hull was only their second in their last seven, with the north London side lumbering towards the finish line. They know, though, that a victory over Everton coupled with Liverpool slipping up at Stoke would see them secure 5th place.
  • Spurs' form away from home has been patchy of late with just one win from five. The Toffees will be keen to secure victory here and have what it takes to do so.
