Team News

Man Utd
Bournemouth
  • Saturday's match was abandoned due to a bomb scare and Manchester City's 1-1 draw means a top four finish is no longer possible. With an FA Cup final on Saturday, Louis van Gaal may tinker with the side that was originally set to play as they can no longer finish fourth.
  • They will be without the suspended Marouane Fellaini for the last game of the season. Luke Shaw will not feature until next season. The same is true of Matteo Darmian and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
  • Cameron Borthwick-Jackson could return to the starting XI following several unconvincing displays from Marcos Rojo at left-back. The latter also picked up an injury in training on Saturday.
  • Eddie Howe can name his strongest side for the trip to Old Trafford, although Tyrone Mings, Sylvain Distin and Adam Smith are long-term absentees.

Prediction

  • Manchester United's hopes of finishing in the top four are over after Manchester City drew 1-1 with Swansea on Saturday. They are now playing to recapture fifth following Southampton's 4-1 win over Crystal Palace.
  • Bournemouth have been in freefall in the last few months after securing their Premier League status. They have lost five of their last seven matches and their only win in that time came against Aston Villa.
  • United have won six of their last seven at home in the Premier League and have only conceded three goals in that time. Louis van Gaal's side should see Eddie Howe's team off on Sunday but it may not be enough to finish in the top four.
