Juventus demand £35m for Everton target

Juventus will demand £35m for Everton target Merih Demiral this summer, reports Goal.com.

The Turkey international's future with the Old Lady is up in the air ahead of the 2021/22 season after he started just 10 league games last season.

Demiral is fourth choice centre-back with Juventus and it's been reported that returning head coach Max Allegri will allow the 23-year-old to leave in the off season.

The defender still has three years left to run on his current deal in Turin, so Juventus are under no pressure to sell.

However, Juventus, if they do decide to cash in on Demiral, will look to make a hefty profit on the £16m they paid Sassuolo for the player in 2019.

Everton boss Rafa Benitez is looking to strengthen his side's defence ahead of the new season and is supposedly impressed with Demiral.

The Toffees wouldn't have a clear shot at the centre-back should Juventus elect to sell, with Serie A rivals Atalanta and Roma also believed to be monitoring the youngster.

Demiral was part of the Turkey squad that underwhelmed at Euro 2020, scoring an own goal in their opening group stage defeat to eventual champions Italy at the Olimpico.
