Chelsea will look to beat Manchester United to the signing of highly-rated Serbian teenager Marko Grujic when the transfer window reopens in January, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Grujic, 19, has been dubbed the ‘next Nemanja Matic’ and was part of the Serbia U20 World Cup winning squad in New Zealand earlier this year.
Chelsea have long been linked with the Red Star Belgrade midfielder, but could look to wrap up a £3.5m deal in the winter window after becoming concerned in the interest United have shown in recent weeks.
The reigning Premier League champions are reportedly confident of completing the transfer and are even prepared to loan Grujic straight back to the Serbian outfit.

I rather have the next Makelele over the next Matic.
