Former Manchester United boss David Moyes will officially be announced as West Ham’s new manager on Tuesday and will take training immediately, claims The Daily Mirror.
West Ham sacked Slaven Bilic on Monday morning with the Hammers in the bottom three in the Premier League table and they have moved quickly to find his replacement.
Moyes has been out of work since leading Sunderland down to the Championship at the end of last season and has now been given the West Ham role on a deal until June.
The 54-year-old’s reputation as a manager has plummeted since leaving Everton to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford in 2013 and his official unveiling will be met by fierce backlash from West Ham supporters.
Chris Wood was the only member of Bilic’s backroom staff to survive the chop, having previously worked with Moyes as his goalkeeping coach at United.

The Scotsman also wants to make Stuart Pearce his assistant manager, as a result of the 55-year-old’s two-year stint as a player for West Ham.
Moyes will be tasked with fixing West Ham’s defensive woes and steering them clear of the bottom three.
The Hammers have conceded the most Premier League goals (23) this season, while they have committed the most errors that have led to an opposition goal since August 2015 (25).
