Chelsea Transfer News: Blues complete signing of Pedro Neto from Wolves

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Pedro Neto from Premier League side Wolves for an undisclosed fee.

Neto had been linked with a move away from Wolves this summer, with both Arsenal and Tottenham credited with an interest in the 24-year-old.

However, Chelsea acted quickly to get a deal for the Portugal international completed, with the winger penning a seven-year deal.

"Chelsea is delighted to announce the signing of Portugal international Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers," a statement read on the club's official website.

"Pedro has signed a seven-year contract and will begin training with his new teammates at Cobham in the coming days."

On his move to Chelsea, Neto said: "I feel really grateful to have joined this club. I have worked really hard in my career to be here and I’m looking forward to getting on the pitch with this shirt."

Hamstring issues meant Neto was restricted to just 18 league starts for Wolves last season but he still managed nine Premier League assists.
