Bacca snubs Premier League for Milan

Colombia international Carlos Bacca has joined Serie A giants AC Milan from Sevilla for a fee believed to be in the region of £21m.

Bacca had reportedly been on Liverpool’s radar this summer, but has instead signed for Milan pending a medical.

The 28-year-old took to life in Spain with ease and since swapping Club Brugge for Sevilla in 2013 only four other players have scored more goals in La Liga than Bacca (34).

Despite not being in Europe themselves next season, Milan have signed a forward with pedigree in the elite continental competitions, having a direct hand in 15 goals (11 goals, 4 assists) as Sevilla secured back-to-back Europa League titles.
