Fanteam Fantasy Football: Rashford and Co. to prolong Arteta's wait for Arsenal win

Fanteam Fantasy Football are starting 2020 with a bang by putting on a contest with a maximum prize pool of €50,000! It's a New Year's Day bonanza! What a way to start the year! If you're not signed up, get involved now.

Here is our XI for the contest, with additional information about some of our selections.

Daniel James (Manchester United) - 8.8M

Daniel James' maiden campaign at Manchester United has gone better than anyone expected when he signed from Championship side Swansea in the summer. The Wales international has scored three goals and supplied six assists in 19 league appearances and has struck up a particuarly notable partnership with Marcus Rashford in attack. In fact, James to Rashford is the joint-best assist-to-goalscorer combination in the Premier League this season (four goals).

Danny Ings (Southampton) - 8M

Tottenham have conceded at least two goals in six of Jose Mourinho's first 10 games in charge, which should be music to Southampton's ears. The Premier League strugglers have turned a corner of late, with two wins and a draw in their last three, including a 2-0 victory away to Chelsea. Danny Ings' form has been hugely impressive for the club all season and he will be the man to stop as far as Tottenham are concerned. Ings has netted 12 league goals this season and has scored in all but one of his last eight league starts. The 27-year-old has played a direct hand in more than half (13/24) of the goals Southampton have scored in the league this term.

Vicente Guaita (Crystal Palace) - 6.5M

Roy Hodgson has done a remarkable job in charge of Crystal Palace and has made them incredibly tough to beat despite working on a very limited budget. In fact, only three teams kept more clean sheets than Palace (11) in the Premier League in 2019. Hodgson's side kept as many as Chelsea and more than Arsenal (8), Manchester United (8) and Tottenham (7). With that in mind, Vicent Guaita could prove a very useful addition to your XI for a low price.
