Goalkeepers
David De Gea (Manchester United – Points Earned 10)
Claudio Bravo (Manchester City – Points Earned 11.5)
Hugo Lloris (Tottenham – Points Earned 11.5)
Another vital three points for Tottenham, another clean sheet for Hugo Lloris. No goalkeeper has kept more clean sheets than the Spurs captain (13) in the Premier League this season, with his exploits between the sticks earning 11.5 points in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth.
Simon Mignolet (Liverpool – Points Earned 13)
Like Lloris, Simon Mignolet too kept a clean sheet as Liverpool boosted their top-4 hopes with a hard-fought 1-0 win at West Brom. With a welcome of Crystal Palace on Sunday, he’s likely to be in high demand once again.
Heurelho Gomes (Watford – Points Earned 16)
The highest scoring goalkeeper at the weekend was Brazilian Heurelho Gomes, who earned a whopping 16 points against Swansea. At a Hull side that thrives at home, though, it may be worth avoiding the experienced shotstopper when selecting your Yahoo! team this week.
Defenders
Michael Keane (Burnley – Points Earned 9.1)
Gael Clichy (Manchester City – Points Earned 9.5)
Joel Matip (Liverpool – Points Earned 9.5)
Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham – Points Earned 9.7)
Ben Davies (Tottenham – Points Earned 10.5)
James Collins (West Ham – Points Earned 11.5)
Robert Huth (Leicester – Points Earned 11.7)
Phil Jagielka (Everton – Points Earned 14.1)
There looks to be no stopping Phil Jagielka, who has now scored three goals in his last three Premier League appearances. Everton travel to West Ham on Saturday and there’s a distinct possibility he can add to his excellent return at the weekend.
Vincent Kompany (Manchester City – Points Earned 17.2)
Vincent Kompany bagged his first Premier League goal of the campaign at Southampton last time out to help gain 17.2 points with Yahoo! Manchester City won’t be in action again until their meeting with Manchester United next week, so chances are high he will retain his spot in the side, injury permitting.
Harry Maguire (Hull – Points Earned 17.6)
Hull’s away form may be shaky, but Harry Maguire has established himself as a key man for the Tigers. On home turf, they are exceptional and with the defender earning 17.6 points and picked by just 0.21% of users last week, he could be a handy transfer into your team.
Midfielders
Kevin Mirallas (Everton – Points Earned 13.9)
Mesut Ozil (Arsenal – Points Earned 14.7)
Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City – Points Earned 15.2)
Ander Herrera (Manchester United – Points Earned 15.6)
Mousa Dembele (Tottenham – Points Earned 16.2)
Etienne Capoue (Watford – Points Earned 16.3)
Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke – Points Earned 17.5)
Wahbi Khazri (Sunderland – Points Earned 17.6)
Sunderland kept their slim chances of survival alive with a 2-2 draw with West Ham in part thanks to Wahbi Khzari. The Tunisian netted a first half equaliser direct from a corner and could be vital if the Black Cats are to get the better of relegation rivals Middlesbrough next week.
Christian Eriksen (Tottenham – Points Earned 20.7)
Another impressive showing for Christian Eriksen, who earned 20.7 points against Bournemouth, the second highest of all midfielders on Yahoo! At Palace next week, the Dane has another key role to play in the final third.
Son Heung-min (Tottenham – Points Earned 20.8)
Pipping Eriksen to top spot of midfielders is teammate Son Heung-min. The South Korean star has been in fine form of late, with his goal against Bournemouth his fifth in his last four Premier League outings.
Forwards
Sam Vokes (Burnley – Points Earned 15.5)
Sergio Aguero (Manchester City – Points Earned 16.1)
Roberto Firmino (Liverpool – Points Earned 16.5)
Alvaro Negredo (Middlesbrough – Points Earned 16.9)
Marcus Rashford (Manchester United – Points Earned 17)
Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal – Points Earned 17.3)
Marko Arnautovic (Stoke – Points Earned 17.6)
Romelu Lukaku (Everton – Points Earned 18.2)
Another week, another Romelu Lukaku goal. He has 24 to his name in the Premier League this season - more than any other player - with it no surprise 64.1% of gamers selected the Belgian last week. The Everton striker has scored more goals against West Ham (9) than any other team, so expect that figure to rise.
Christian Benteke (Crystal Palace – Points Earned 19.5)
Lukaku’s compatriot Christian Benteke edges the Everton man into second with his second half equaliser against Leicester taking him to 12 league goals this term. Against an indifferent Liverpool defence – and with Benteke looking to prove a point against his former employers – the Eagles hitman could be a solid pickup this week.
Harry Kane (Tottenham – Points Earned 25.3)
The stand out star this week is Tottenham’s Harry Kane, winning 25.3 points on Yahoo! after a strong showing against Bournemouth. He may be expensive at £27, but with Spurs in ruthless form, the England international is well worth selecting.
