Fantasy Football: Who to buy, sell and captain for gameweek 11
There are some huge fixtures in the Premier League this weekend with West Ham hosting Manchester United and Chelsea facing Leeds on Saturday, before attentions turn to the North London derby and Liverpool welcome of Wolves on Sunday.
With so many popular Fantasy Football players set to face off against each other, there promises to be a lot of drama this weekend. As always, we have assessed the fixtures, crunched the numbers and come up with a series of tips for you to consider for your team.
Player to Buy: Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) - 8.3M
Alexandre Lacazette is certainly not flavour of the month among Arsenal supporters at the moment but this weekend he has the ideal opportunity to get back in their good books in the North London derby.
Mikel Arteta was full of praise for Lacazette after his display in the Europa League on Thursday and the Frenchman will hope to be rewarded with a start at Tottenham this weekend. Arsenal desperately need a result following a poor run of form in the Premier League and Lacazette has previous with Tottenham.
In fact, against only two sides has Lacazette score more against in the Premier League than Tottenham (3). Moreover, he has scored or assisted in five of his six North London derbies in the Premier League.
Generally speaking, Lacazette prefers London derbies. He has scored or assisted 18 goals in 27 London derby appearances, making up 32% of his total goal involvements in the Premier League for Arsenal. With Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min dominating Fantasy Football teams this season, Lacazette could be a huge wildcard pick this weekend. At the time of writing he is currently in just 2.8% of Fantasy Football squads.
Player to Sell: James Rodriguez - 7.8M
After such a blistering start to the season, James Rodriguez now appears a bit of an issue for Everton, who have now lost four of their last five in the Premier League. Carlo Ancelotti has even changed formation to try and relinquish Rodriguez from needing to carry out his defensive duties but it hasn't worked as yet. Rodriguez is without a goal involvement in his last four Premier League appearances, yet, at the time of writing, is still in over a quarter of Fantasy Football squads.
Everton travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley this weekend, a ground where they have lost three of their last four. And then they face Chelsea, Leicester, Arsenal and Manchester City in four of their next five. Now is the time to discard Rodriguez from your fantasy teams.
Player to captain: Sadio Mane (Liverpool) vs Wolves
It's fair to say Sadio Mane is going through a bit of a lean spell at the moment, without a goal in his last four Premier League starts but Jurgen Klopp will be leaning on him when Liverpool host Wolves this weekend.
Mane has actually scored Liverpool's last three Premier League home goals against Wolves and they could prove the ideal opponent for the Senegal international to rediscover his goalscoring touch.
