Cagliari pair rise up European form rankings

Barcelona ace Lionel Messi keeps his place at the top of the European form rankings, while Cagliari pair Radja Nainggolan and Joao Pedro rise up the top-10 after their entertaining 4-3 win over Sampdoria on Monday night...

10. Luis Alberto - Lazio

Moving up the European form rankings, Luis Alberto has quietly, but efficiently, been going about his business for high-flying Lazio in Serie A. While Ciro Immobile's goalscoring exploits have been hogging the limelight, the Spaniard has had a direct hand in a goal in each of his last five league outings, totalling one goal and four assists. Having won the WhoScored man of the match award in two of his last four league matches, Alberto's WhoScored rating in his last six league appearances is a solid 7.96.

9. Robert Lewandowski - Bayern Munich

In something of a goal drought for Robert Lewandowski, the Bayern Munich striker has now failed to score in his last two league outings, firing blanks against Fortuna Duesseldorf and Bayer Leverkusen and that has seen his rating drop to 7.96. While it's not poor by any stretch, Lewandowski will be looking to get back among the goals against title rivals Gladbach this weekend and rise up from ninth.

8. Joao Pedro - Cagliari

Cagliari fought back from 3-1 down to beat Sampdoria 4-3 on Monday night, with Brazilian forward Joao Pedro vital for the Italian outfit. He netted twice in the victory and has now scored six goals in his last five league appearances. It's seen his WhoScored rating rise to 7.97 and with it, pushed Pedro up to eighth on the leaderboard.

7. Jamie Vardy - Leicester

Another who has risen up the rankings after bagging his 13th league goal of the season, Jamie Vardy sits seventh on the standings. The Leicester star is in immense form at present and he'll be confident of adding to his goal record when the Foxes face Premier League footers Watford this week.

6. Raul Jimenez - Wolves

Pipping Vardy to top spot in the Premier League form standings, Raul Jimenez has returned a superb WhoScored rating of 7.99 over his last six top-flight outings. The Mexican, who is the WhoScored Premier League player of the month for November, should be confident of adding to his six league goals this season when Wolves host West Ham on Wednesday night.

5. Eden Hazard - Real Madrid

While Eden Hazard's good form has seen his WhoScored rating over his last six league outings rise to 8.15, the Belgian wing wizard drops to fifth in the European form rankings, with those above him outperforming the Real Madrid ace in recent weeks.

4. Angel Di Maria - PSG

A former Real Madrid star has moved above Hazard into fourth with Angel Di Maria excelling in the absence of the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe for title chasing PSG. The Argentine ace has had a direct hand in a goal in each of his last five league outings, scoring four and assisting three, and it's seen his WhoScored rating increase to 8.18 over his last six outings.

3. Radja Nainggolan - Cagliari

The second Cagliari man to feature, Radja Nainggolan comes into the form rankings as the in-form Serie A player having landed a WhoScored rating of 8.28 over his last six league appearances. The Belgian midfielder is our Serie A player of the month and for good reason too as he continues to spearhead Cagliari's unlikely push for a top-four finish.

2. Timo Werner - RB Leipzig

In his last six league appearances, RB Leipzig sensation Timo Werner has had a direct hand in 13 league goals, scoring eight, which includes a barnstorming display in an 8-0 win over Mainz, in which he scored three and assisted three. The European player of the month, it's easy to see why Werner is one of the form players on the continent having returned a WhoScored rating of 8.43 over his last six league outings.

1. Lionel Messi - Barcelona

Who else but Lionel Messi? The Argentine's WhoScored rating of late has dropped to *just* 8.95, but that is more than enough to keep his place atop the form leaderboard. The Barcelona sensation has scored has scored eight goals in his last six LaLiga matches and provided four assists in that time. 30 successful dribbles and 18 key passes over that period has helped Messi retain his spot.
