De Gea and Aubameyang miss out on Arsenal-Man Utd ultimate XI
Arsenal and Manchester United resume rivalries over the weekend as the Gunners welcome their adversaries to the Emirates. United saw a 13-match Premier League unbeaten run come to an end when they lost to Sheffield United on Wednesday night, that their first league defeat since Arsenal's 1-0 win at Old Trafford back in November.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are on the longest away unbeaten run in Europe's top five leagues spanning 17 matches and it's been over a year since they last lost on the road. Since Christmas, though, Arsenal have been superb, winning six of eight matches in all competitions to haul themselves back into the running for a top-four finish.
It'll be a tough test for Arteta to oversee another three points against United, even if Arsenal historically have the upper hand, winning four of the last five home meetings with their divisional rivals. With that in mind, we look at the combined XI between the two sides of those to have made 10 or more Premier League appearances this season and avoiding injured or suspended players.
And it is United who dominate this XI with eight players to Arsenal's three. Between the sticks, though, it's Bernd Leno (6.64) who ousts David De Gea (6.43) as the goalkeeper in this side. That said, it's an all United backline.
Harry Maguire (7.04) partners Victor Lindelof (6.81) at the heart of the defence, with the latter making the team at Gabriel's (6.81) expense. The pair have the same rating, but Lindelof has made 14 appearances to Gabriel's 12, which is why he makes the cut. Aaron Wan-Bissaka (7.07) and Luke Shaw (6.87) round off the backline at the expense of Hector Bellerin (6.70) and Kieran Tierney (6.71) at right-back and left-back, respectively.
In the midfield pair in this 4-2-3-1 setup, Fred (6.85) joins Paul Pogba (6.99) in the middle of the park, with Bruno Fernandes (7.49) occupying the space in front of the duo as the highest rated player between the two teams. It's an all-English wing pair with Bukayo Saka (7.06) and Marcus Rashford (7.17) featuring on the right and left flank, respectively.
Leading the attack in this combined XI is Alexandre Lacazette (6.98). The Arsenal striker has been in good form of late, with five of his eight league goals this season coming in his last six appearances.
