Manchester United forward makes first U21 form rankings showing

A Manchester United youngster features in the U21 form rankings for the first time as a Liverpool ace keeps his place in the top 10.

10. Martin Odegaard - Real Sociedad

Despite his WhoScored rating increasing to 7.26, Martin Odegaard dropped further down the U21 form rankings across Europe's top five leagues. The Norwegian youngster was decisive in Real Sociedad's 1-0 win at Celta, providing the assist for Alexander Isak, but as that knocked his man of the match display against Atetico Madrid out of the reckoning, his average over the last six games dropped as a result.

9. Dwight McNeil - Burnley

Leapfrogging Odegaard into ninth, Dwight McNeil's goal in Burnley's 4-2 loss to Chelsea pushed his average WhoScored rating up to 7.31 over his last six Premier League appearances. The winger can take solace from a solid display last time out, despite the Clarets' loss on Saturday evening.

8. Sandro Tonali - Brescia

Brescia may have lost 3-1 at Genoa, but the defeat marked another fine showing from Sandro Tonali, who rises to eighth in the U21 form rankings. The coveted midfielder opened the scoring in the encounter, finding the top corner from a free-kick, and it helped push his WhoScored rating up to 7.34 over his last six Serie A appearances.

7. Trent Alexander-Arnold - Liverpool

Pipping Tonali to seventh is Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Reds star boasts a 7.35 WhoScored rating over his last six league outings, with his seven key passes in their 2-1 win over Tottenham the highest in the gameweek in England's top tier.

6. Marcus Rashford - Manchester United

Surprisingly making the U21 form rankings for the first time, Marcus Rashford rises to sixth with a WhoScored rating of 7.36. Three of the eight league goals Rashford has had a direct hand in have come in his last two league outings, with his best rated performance of the season coming in the weekend's 3-1 win at Norwich aiding his push up the standings.

5. Lautaro Martinez - Inter

Inter failed to capitalise on Juventus' draw with Lecce as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Parma with Lautaro Martinez's scoring run drawing to an abrupt end. Indeed, the Argentine's failure to net saw his average rating drop to 7.39 as he fell to fifth.

4. Harvey Barnes - Leicester

A new qualifier after a fine display against Southampton, Harvey Barnes provided an assist in Leicester's 9-0 win at St. Mary's on Friday night and with an average rating of 7.41 over his last six Premier Leaue outings, the winger surges into fourth.

3. Dejan Kulusevski - Parma

Dejan Kulusevski failed to follow up his fine display against Genoa with another dazzling outing as Parma drew 2-2 with Inter. That said, the Swede's rating of 7.46 over his last six appearances, while dropping, was enough to keep his spot in third.

2. Tammy Abraham - Chelsea

Similarly, Tammy Abraham saw his rating fall to 7.48, but the Chelsea striker retained second spot on the leaderboard. Christian Pulisic stole the show in the Blues' 4-2 win over Burnley, but Abraham was on hand to provide his first assist of the campaign in a solid showing in the final third.

1. Achraf Hakimi - Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund were held to a 0-0 draw by rivals Schalke on Saturday as the Bundesliga title hopefuls failed to break their opponents' rearguard. Achraf Hakimi keeps top spot in these standings, however, as recent impressive performances against Gladbach and Freiburg ensured he has a WhoScored rating of 7.65 over his last six league outings.

Qualifying Rules

Only ratings from each player’s last six league matches are considered, weighted chronologically, with the most recent match carrying greater importance and so on. To qualify each player must have featured in two of the last three league matches and started at least six of the last eight available.

Players aged 21 and under at the start of the season (August 9th 2019) are eligible.
