Rivals Man Utd and Man City dominate Premier League form rankings

 

The Manchester pair dominate the Premier League form rankings as Manchester City and Manchester United have three players each in the top 10. Elsewhere, Aston Villa have two representatives, while Liverpool and Arsenal also make the leaderboard. 

 

10. Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa) - 7.37 

 

The first of two Aston Villa players in the top 10, Douglas Luiz was key as the Villans left the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with all the spoils as he provided the assist for Pau Torres' equaliser on their way to a 2-1 win. The Brazilian's performance at Tottenham was his fourth best of the season to help feature in 10th in the form standings. 

 

9. Diogo Dalot (Manchester United) - 7.37 

 

Manchester United have three players in the top 10 of the form rankings with Diogo Dalot featuring in ninth with a WhoScored form rating of 7.37. Dalot provided his first league assist of the campaign in United's 3-0 win at Everton, providing for Alejandro Garnacho's goal of the season contender. Erik ten Hag's have also kept a clean sheet in each of their last three league outings. 

 

8. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 7.43 

 

The second Manchester United player to feature, Bruno Fernandes provided the assist for Anthony Martial's goal at Goodison Park last weekend, that his third league assist of the campaign. Three of Fernandes' five best rated displays of the campaign have come in his last five outings and that has helped earn a WhoScored form rating of 7.43. 

 

7. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) - 7.43 

 

Pipping Fernandes to seventh is Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, who has registered an assist in three of his last five league showings. The England international will look to maintain his good form when Wolves make the trip to the Emirates this weekend. 

 

6. Andre Onana (Manchester United) - 7.47 

 

While Andre Onana put in a shocking display at Galatasaray in midweek, the Manchester United shotstopper has been key for Erik ten Hag's side in the league as noted by his form rating of 7.47. Onana has now kept five clean sheets in the Premier League this season, three of which of have in his last three outings, and ranks second for saves and save success rate this season. 

 

5. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) - 7.48 

 

Coming in at fifth in the form rankings is Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian has been directly involved in a goal in five of his last six league outings, scoring seven and providing one assist in that run, as Salah continues to play a key role in the Reds' title pursuit. 

 

4. John McGinn (Aston Villa) - 7.51 

 

Dropping from second to fourth in the form standings, John McGinn is still proving a key man for Aston Villa, though a sub-par showing against Tottenham last week saw his WhoScored form rating drop from 7.69 to 7.51. Up against Bournemouth on Sunday, the Scottish midfielder will look to return to his best on the south coast.

3. Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) - 7.61 

 

Manchester City take up all three podium places in the form rankings with Bernardo Silva securing third spot this week. While a number of teammates have earned the plaudits this season, Silva continues to go about his business in a City shirt and this is reflected in a fine WhoScored form rating of 7.61. 

 

2. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) - 7.79 

 

Erling Haaland bagged his 50th Premier League goal of his career last weekend, an impressive feat considering the 1-1 draw with Liverpool marked his his 48th appearance in England's top tier. The Manchester City goal machine will fancy his chances of adding to that record when the champions welcome an injury-plagued Tottenham to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. 

 

1. Jeremy Doku (Manchester City) - 7.95 

 

Surging back to the top of the Premier League form standings is Manchester City dribble machine Jeremy Doku. The Belgian was the star performer in City's 1-1 draw with Liverpool having completed 12 dribbles in the stalemate, a record in a Premier League match this season. While he couldn't contribute to a goal, Doku's showing helped peg Liverpool back and contributed towards his form rating of 7.95.
