Premier League round-up: The star performers from Tuesday night’s action

Arsenal 2-1 Cardiff - Alexandre Lacazette - 8.12 rating

Alexandre Lacazette has now scored in three successive home league matches after netting what proved to be the match-winner against Cardiff in the 83rd-minute. The 27-year-old had three shots in total, created two goalscoring opportunities, as many dribbles and won two free-kicks for the Gunners. He also made two clearances to help Arsenal over the line.

Fulham 4-2 Brighton - Aleksandar Mitrovic - 9.14 rating

Fulham came from 2-0 down with four unanswered second-half goals to win a thrilling game at home to Brighton. Aleksandar Mitrovic drew Fulham level just before the hour before putting the Cottagers ahead with just over 15 minutes remaining. The 24-year-old hit the target with three of his five attempts, registered four key passes and won seven aerial duels in a superb centre-forward performance.

Huddersfield 0-1 Everton - Gylfi Sigurdsson - 8.02 rating

Everton inflicted Huddersfield boss Jan Siewert with defeat in his first game in charge of the Terriers. Richarlison’s goal in the opening minutes was enough to secure three huge points for Marco Silva’s side, though Gylfi Sigurdsson was integral to the away side’s performance. The 29-year-old hit the target with two of three shots, completed two dribbles and won three fouls. He also chipped in with seven tackles, a personal record in a Premier League match this season.

Wolves 3-0 West Ham - Raul Jimenez - 9.42 rating

Wolves dispatched a poor West Ham side on Tuesday night, with Raul Jimenez helping himself to the WhoScored Man of the Match award with a brace. The 27-year-old had six shots in total, won four aerial duels, won two free-kicks and completed one dribble. Jimenez also completed four tackles and interceptions combined, leading from the front with his defensive work. He has now played a direct hand in 13 goals in the league this season.

Newcastle 2-1 Manchester City - Sergio Aguero - 7.82 rating

Sergio Aguero continued his magnificent goalscoring record against Newcastle, though it meant nothing as Manchester City let a 1-0 lead slip to lose three costly points in the title race. The Argentine now has 15 goals in 13 league appearances against the Magpies, his favourite opponent in the competition. Aguero had four attempts total and even completed four dribbles.

Burnley 2-2 Manchester United - Chris Wood - 7.76 rating

For the second season in a row, Burnley have thrown away a 2-0 lead at Old Trafford to draw 2-2 courtesy of late drama. Chris Wood doubled Burnley’s lead in the 81st minute and looked to have put the game to bed. The New Zealand international hit the target with two of his three attempts and gave Phil Jones a torrid night all evening. Wood won five aerial duels and drew two fouls off United's defenders.
