Premier League star men revealed as Chelsea and Manchester United both win
After an entertaining day’s action in the Premier League we run through the man of the match performances as Chelsea and Manchester United returned to winning ways while Arsenal’s successful streak came to an end at Crystal Palace.
Burnley 0-4 Chelsea - Willian
The award for the man of the match as Chelsea brushed aside Burnley without star man Eden Hazard couldn’t have been tighter, with Ross Barkley just pipped to the post once more. His Brazilian teammate gets the accolade from WhoScored with a rating of 9.24 to the England international’s 9.23, having scored the visitors third goal in a comfortable victory at Turf Moor.
The 30-year-old had hit the woodwork in the first half before getting on the scoresheet in the second, mustering five shots in all. He also completed twice the number of dribbles as any other player on the pitch (four), created two chances, completed 88 per cent of his passes and chipped in with a tackle and an interception to boot.
Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal - Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The Palace youngster continues to impress having made a starting spot his own at right-back under Roy Hodgson and his work in and out of possession was vital to the Eagles ending Arsenal’s 11-game winning streak. No player won more tackles at Selhurst Park than the 20-year-old, who dispossessed his opponent with all six of his attempts.
The defender didn’t just lead the way there either, making more interceptions than any other player (four) as well as completing the most dribbles, with five equating to more than the entire Arsenal starting XI. A rating of 7.57 was enough for Wan-Bissaka to pick up the man of the match award for the third time this season.

Manchester United 2-1 Everton - Jordan Pickford
He may have ended up on the losing side but it was Pickford’s strongest performance in an Everton shirt this season. Made a superb save to keep out Paul Pogba’s first half penalty only for the Frenchman to slot home the rebound and kept a United side that threatened all afternoon at bay time and again.
Produced a total of eight saves to give the Toffees a fighting chance of a comeback when Gylfi Sigurdsson converted from the spot late on, earning a man of the match rating of 8.76.
