Brits Abroad: Kane and Dier excel as merciless Bayern down Mainz
Harry Kane is the star British player this week having returned a perfect WhoScored 10 rating as Bayern tore Mainz to shreds. Jadon Sancho scored his first league goal upon his return to Borussia Dortmund, while Jordan Henderson was named player of the match for Ajax over the weekend.

Kieran Tierney - Real Sociedad
Kieran Tierney put in a superb cameo display as Real Sociedad came from behind to beat Granada 3-2 on Saturday. Tierney replaced the ineffective Javi Galan at the break and registered the assist for Robin Le Normand's equaliser, that coming from his only key pass.
Jadon Sancho - Borussia Dortmund
10-man Borussia Dortmund held out to secure a 2-1 win at Werder Bremen on Saturday with Jadon Sancho on hand to score what proved to be the decisive goal in the victory. Indeed, Sancho struck with his only shot, while he also completed two dribbles to return a WhoScored rating of 7.46.
Unsurprisingly, Harry Kane is the Bundesliga player of the week following his wonderful showing in Bayern's resounding 8-1 win over Mainz. Kane was directly involved in four goals on Saturday, netting a hat-trick from nine shots and providing an assist with his only key pass as he returned a perfect WhoScored 10 rating.
Eric Dier put in his best rated performance of the Bundesliga season in Saturday's mauling of Mainz as he earned a WhoScored rating of 7.26. The former Tottenham man was on hand to make three tackles and three clearances prior to his 75th minute withdrawal.
Sassuolo ended an eight-game winless run at Frosinone's expense over the weekend with Josh Doig putting in a shift at left-back. The Scot may have struggled in possession but was solid off the ball, with four tackles, four clearances and three interceptions helping Sassuolo to a vital victory.
Bologna lost ground in the race for a top-four finish as they fell to a 1-0 home defeat to runaway leaders Inter. Lewis Ferguson did all he could to help his side as he managed two shots and two key passes, while he also mustered a 92.5% pass success rate.
AC Milan claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Empoli on Sunday with Ruben Loftus-Cheek solid if unspectacular for Stefano Pioli's side. The midfielder returned a WhoScored rating of 6.67 as he managed one shot and one dribble, and managed a 96.6% pass success rate, in the hard fought victory.
Remaining in Milan, Fikayo Tomori started his first league game since December against Empoli on Sunday, where he lasted an hour upon his return. Tomori was on hand to make two clearances and two tackles to help land a WhoScored rating of 6.82.
Genoa fell to a 3-2 home loss to Monza over the weekend, with Djed Spence struggling following his second half introduction. While the hosts fought back from 2-0 down, they were unable to claim a result with Spence returning a WhoScored rating of 6.38. The on-loan full-back was dispossessed once during his time on the pitch in a sub-par cameo.
Jordan Henderson put in a player of the match performance as Ajax were held to a 2-2 draw by Fortuna Sittard. Henderson provided the assist for Kenneth Taylor's eighth-minute opener, that coming from one of six key passes, while two dribbles and two tackles saw the experienced England international return a WhoScored rating of 7.93.
Remaining at the Johan Cruijff Arena, Chuba Akpom was unable to maximise a rare league start for Ajax as he failed to add to his six league goals this season. It was not for want of trying, however, as Akpom managed four shots and three key passes in the 2-2 draw with Fortuna Sittard.
A late Jonathan David brace saw Lille resuce a point from the jaws of defeat, though Angel Gomes put in one of his worst rated displays of the campaign in the 2-2 draw with Rennes. The 23-year-old committed three fouls in the stalemate, was dribbled past once and dispossessed once on his way to a WhoScored rating of just 6.35.
Rizespor were torn to shreds by Galatasaray on Friday night, with Jonjo Shelvey putting in his third worst rated performance of the Super Lig season in a 6-2 loss. Shelvey may have claimed an assist in the defeat, yet he made three unsuccessful touches that resulted in a turnover of possession and mustered a pass success rate of just 71.7%.
Matt Crooks was unable to help Real Salt Lake to back-to-back victories as they crashed to a home defeat to Colorado Rapids. Crooks struggled to impose himself on the game as he committed two fouls and was dribbled past once in the 2-1 loss as the 30-year-old earned a WhoScored rating of just 6.27.
Ryan Gauld - Vancouver Whitecaps
Ryan Gauld did all he could to help Vancouver Whitecaps to victory in the early hours of Sunday morning. The Scottish may not have contributed to a goal but it wasn't for want of trying as Gauld managed five key passes in a 2-0 win at San Jose.
Matty Longstaff played a key role off the bench on his Toronto FC debut over the weekend. Indeed, the former Newcastle man provided the assist for Lorenzo Insigne's eventual winner 10 minutes from time, that coming from his only key pass, while the 23-year-old also kept play ticking over during his time on the pitch as he returned a 91.7% pass success rate.
