With Leicester the only remaining Premier League representative in the Champions League quarter-finals, the debate as to just how far English football has fallen in terms of quality compared to the likes of La Liga has resurfaced. For an indicator that confirms that fact, one need only look at the standard of the captains of Premier League teams this season. It's fair to say there are some pretty underwhelming names on the list, and here we have ranked them from 20 to 1 by WhoScored.com rating, with a minimum of 15 league appearances this season set as a requirement.
So you guys hate all but 8 captains. Cool, cool. This was a stupid and a waste of time.
