Here, we run through the star men from Saturday's Bundesliga action as teams played out an exciting round of 'ghost' games behind closed doors...
Borussia Dortmund 4-0 Schalke - Raphael Guerreiro
Borussia Dortmund came into the Revierderby as overwhelming favourites and, eager to make amends for last season's 4-2 loss to Schalke, they did just that with a comfortable 4-0 win over their rivals. Erling Haaland set the hosts on their way to victory, but it was Raphael Guerreiro who came away with the man of the match gong with a WhoScored rating of 9.13. The Portuguese wing-back netted either side of half time, hitting the back of the net with two of his four shots, and ensured Schalke posed little threat down their right as the 26-year-old made five tackles and two interceptions.
Hoffenheim 0-3 Hertha Berlin - Vedad Ibisevic
Vedad Ibisevic gave former employers Hoffenheim a timely reminder of his quality with a goal, his fourth of the season, in Hertha Berlin's surprise 3-0 away win. The 35-year-old did enough to land the star man award with a WhoScored rating of 8.02 as one of his three shots found a way past Oliver Baumann between the Hoffenheim sticks. Additionally, Ibisevic won one aerial duel and completed two dribbles, all the while linking up well his his teammates, as he yielded a pass success rate of 91.7%.
RB Leipzig 1-1 Freiburg - Kevin Kampl
RB Leipzig were saved by VAR at the death to ensure they didn't lose further ground in the title race, yet still stuttered to a 1-1 home draw with Freiburg. It was a day to forget for Julian Nagelsmann's side, who huffed and puffed, yet failed to make home advantage count. Yussuf Poulsen ultimately saved the hosts' blushes, making the most of one of Kevin Kampl's two key passes. The midfielder landed the man of the match award with a WhoScored rating of 8.00 as two dribbles, two tackles and two interceptions to go with his one assist capped a solid showing from the Slovenian.
Augsburg 1-2 Wolfsburg - Kevin Mbabu
Wolfsburg left it late to come away from Augsburg with all three points, with a 2-1 win enough to extend their unbeaten streak to seven matches. Kevin Mbabu played a decisive role in the victory as evidenced in the right-back's commendable WhoScored rating of 8.51. The full-back provided the late assist for Daniel Ginczek to secure all the spoils, that coming from his only key pass of the afternoon. Mbabu was nigh-on impossible to stop when he broke forward, completing seven of nine dribbles, and difficult to get past as he made four tackles and one interception.
Fortuna Duesseldorf 0-0 Paderborn - Uwe Hunemeier
In a crunch clash at the bottom of the table, basement boys Paderborn kept their slim chances of survival alive with a 0-0 draw at Fortuna Duesseldorf. Experienced Uwe Hunemeier did enough at the heart of the defence to secure the man of the match award with a WhoScored rating of 7.32. The 34-year-old was tough to get the better of when the home side pushed forward, making two tackles and three interceptions, and found a teammate with 76 of his 86 attempted passes to land the individual gong.
Eintracht Frankfurt 1-3 Gladbach - Alassane Plea
Gladbach leapfrogged RB Leipzig into third with their commendable 3-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt in the final game of the day, with Alassane Plea on hand to impress interested parties with a man of the match display. The Frenchman hit the back of the net with one of his five shots, and he could have had a second midway through the second half having struck the bar with a fine curling effort. The 27-year-old worked hard off the ball, too, making three tackles and that will have impressed onlookers and helped him to a WhoScored rating of 8.25.
