WhoScored Tipster: The Weekend's Top Tips Across Europe
Europe’s top five leagues have their full compliment again with the Bundesliga set to resume this weekend following the winter break. However, the two biggest fixtures of the weekend are in the Premier League and Serie A. League leaders Arsenal will look to secure their first competitive win over Chelsea since October 2011, while Roma will travel to Juventus with the ambition of preventing them making it 11 straight wins in the league as they close in on top spot.
Arsenal vs Chelsea - Arsenal to win @2.10
Confidence is the key. Chelsea have dominated this fixture in recent history but they will make the trip across London in a situation none of the players have ever experienced before. Guus Hiddink’s appointment until the end of the season has put an end to the defeats, but they are still only four points above the bottom three. Comparatively, Arsenal have never had a better chance to win the Premier League with Chelsea out the picture and their main rivals faltering every week. Arsene Wenger’s side will also be buoyed by the return of Mesut Ozil, who is the second highest rated player in the division according to WhoScored.com (7.80). With Eden Hazard and Diego Costa confirmed fit, this is certainly not a foregone conclusion for Arsenal, but the WhoScored Match Forecast calculates Arsenal creating many scoring chances as ‘very likely’ up against Chelsea’s porous defence. There has never been a better time for Wenger to finally get one over on Chelsea than now.
Juventus vs Roma - Juventus Half Time/Full Time @2.37
New Roma boss Luciano Spalletti could not have wished for a worse time to face Juventus, particularly after he was held to a 1-1 draw against league strugglers Verona in his first match back in charge. Juventus have won 10 league games in a row and have their sights firmly set on dethroning Napoli as league leaders. Added to Roma’s task, the players appear to be in terrible condition, which was a problem for them at the back end of last season as well. Not only that, but Spalletti will be without Roma’s second highest WhoScored rated player, Gervinho (7.28), who is on the verge of joining the movement in the Chinese Super League. The WhoScored Match Forecast only foresees goalscoring chances for Juventus in this match and in order to get better odds on the Old Lady winning, plumping on them to be winning at HT and FT is much better value for money than the shortened odds of them claiming all three points.
Atletico Madrid vs Sevilla - Draw First Half/Atletico Second Half @4.00
Atletico Madrid currently top La Liga, while Sevilla are too unreliable to back at present. However, at the Calderon, the away team does all they can to deny Diego Simeone side’s route to goal. In three of Atletico’s last four home league games, both sides came in at the interval level. Sevilla meanwhile have failed to win away from home in their nine La Liga games this season, but have been drawing in two of their last four at half time.
Gladbach vs Borussia Dortmund - Over 3.5 goals @2.10
A big welcome back to the Bundesliga. The winter break will have provided sufficient rest for the players, with teams expected to make their intentions know early on upon the league’s return. At least four or more goals have been scored in each of Gladbach’s last four home competitive games, while Dortmund have seen similar in five of their nine league games away from home this season. The WhoScored Match Forecast suggests just two goalscoring scenarios - one for either team - both of which are deemed ‘very likely'.
PSG vs Angers - PSG (-1) @1.61
The Ligue 1 title race is well and truly over, with surprise package Angers unlikely to concern the Parisian giants. The visiting side can close the gap between themselves and PSG - of their four away defeats in France’s top tier this term, just one has been by more than one goal, while they are one of only three teams to not lose to PSG in Ligue 1 this season.

PSG have to be on everybody's accy as they have't lost a game since the dawn of time.
I think Juventus - Roma will play 0-0 HT and one of the teams will take 1-0 win. Ateltico Madrid to win. My 5FOLD - Arsenal, MU, West Brom, Sunderland, Everton to win!
