Team News

Union
Estudiantes
  • Augusto Lotti came off the bench to score and end Defensa y Justicia's title hopes last week and the youngster could be rewarded with a start.
  • Franco Fragapane and Diego Zabala will as ever start on either side of the midfield.
  • Jonathan Bottinelli continues in central defence as part of an unchanged back four.
  • Mariano Andujar is available again after suspension and so replacing Daniel Sappa in goal might be the only change.
  • Jonathan Schunke scored in the draw with San Martin last Monday and continues in Gabi Milito's back three.
  • Lucas Albertengo leads the attack with Gaston Fernandez in support.

Prediction

  • Despite their inconsistencies, Union are close to sealing a place in the Copa Sudamericana and one more win would do it. El Tatengue are scoring goals and with 13 in their last six games, the firepower is there to beat many teams.
  • Failing to hold on for three points against 10-man San Martin was disappointing, but it's been an otherwise good start to Gabi Milito's return. Scoring goals remain an issue and wasted chances cost them last week, but the switch to a 3-5-2 has made them look more structured and provides a foundation to build on.
  • Union will want to confirm their Sudamericana spot and so on home soil they should see off a goal-shy Estudiantes.
