Team News

Lazio
Brescia
  • Manuel Lazzari is back from suspension and will start at right wing-back, while Correa will partner Ciro Immobile up front.
  • Immobile scored a hat-trick for Lazio last time out and now leads Cristiano Ronaldo by two at the top of the scoring charts.
  • Daniele Dessena is suspended and will be replaced by Birkir Bjarnason in midfield, while Mangraviti should start at left-back.

Prediction

  • Lazio earned their second consecutive league win thanks to a 5-1 trashing of Verona, while Brescia suffered a late defeat to Parma.
  • Against a weak opponent like Brescia, Ciro Immobile will have his eyes set on more goals here. He is two goals short of Gonzalo Higuain's Serie A record.

  • King Ciro- the best in Italy

  • @stefanm that speaks volumes about Serie A quality

  • Golden ball for Immobile as expected

  • this award is a joke as it's impossible to compare goals scored in different leagues, moreover some leagues have more matches in the season than others

  • @neumi17 Yes Immobile now presumably gets the Golden Boot because Lazio got 18 penalties and he shot 15 of them. No other reason. Bayern got 6 and Lewandowski 5 of those. As if 4 games less weren't enough of a handicap. Impossible to view this award as anything else than a joke unless they devalue either penalties or Serie A.

  • @benj Excluding goals scored from penalties: Lewandowski is first, while Immobile and Ronaldo are 14th and 15th. It's insane that Golden Boot will go to 14th best goal scorer. Hope there will be a change in how goals scored from penalties are valuated after this disgraceful season

  • @fervour21 What are you talking about ? Immobile has scored 22 goals out of open play. Only Lewandowski and Werner have more !

  • @benj Penalties or not, the Germans should add two more clubs to the Bauerliga and join Europe's elite.

  • @GioMonaldo I agree.

  • @benj The penalty rules in italy are insane. Both him and Ronaldo scoring what, 12+? it's actually crazy. Doesn't help that the quality of the league is absolute dogshit at the same time

  • 1-0 final score

  • @footballover Noup, It's Immobile again :)
