Aston Villa
Chelsea
- Ross Barkley has most likely played his last game for Aston Villa as he cannot face parent club Chelsea on Sunday. After a bright start to life on loan, his impact faded fast and Villa aren't expected to pursue him permanently.
- Douglas Luiz and Jacob Ramsey will hope to return to the side but Dean Smith may well go unchanged. Ahmed Elmohamady and Neil Taylor should at least get cameos as their contracts expire this summer.
- Thomas Tuchel is confident N'Golo Kante has avoided a serious injury despite coming off early in to their 2-1 win over Leicester on Tuesday but it would be a surprise if he was risked here with the Champions League final around the corner.
- The Chelsea head coach would ideally field a weakened side here but the Blues still need a result to guarantee a top four finish. Aside from Kante being rested, we should therefore see Chelsea's best available line-up.
- Tuchel is hopeful Kai Havertz will be available on Sunday and he has more of a chance of actually playing than Kante, while Andreas Christensen will also make the squad after injury.
