Team News

Man Utd
Chelsea
  • Lisandro Martinez and Donny van de Beek are long-term absentees because of injury.
  • Tom Heaton will likely continued to be sidelined with an ankle injury.
  • Marcus Rashford missed out against Bournemouth on the weekend because of illness, so will have to be assessed before this game.
  • Marcel Sabitzer's loan spell has been cut short because of an injury.
  • Phil Jones has likely played his last game for Manchester United, after confirming he would be leaving this summer.
  • Chelsea come into this game with a lengthy injury list.

Prediction

  • Manchester United need just a point from their final two games to secure a Champions League spot for next season, after their 1-0 win over Bournemouth on the weekend. On home soil in the Premier League this season they have lost only once and their eight goals conceded at Old Trafford is the lowest in the league.
  • Chelsea now have only one win from their last ten Premier League matches after their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday. Only three teams in the league have scored fewer times away from home than the Blues (17) this season.
  • Against a Chelsea side low on confidence and with a number of players missing through injury, United will probably get the three points here.

  • MU have not conceded a league goal at Old Trafford since the start of February, keeping six clean sheets and winning five games to nil.

  • 2-0 united

  • Poch will find it tough to turn Chelsea into title contenders in the next few seasons.

  • @Marbella He might turn them into title contenders, but he will not turn them into title winners. That's the problem with him.

  • @Sputnik spot on about that

  • I've been watching Sky Sports and the guy said it's the first penalty Chelsea has conceded this season, is this true? Defenders being that careful and still they're sitting at bottom-half of the table, really?

  • @Byakuya Maybe they were too careful.

  • Feelin a bit sorry for Frank now.

  • @dSquib He has destroyed two clubs in one season

  • @dSquib Sorry for what?! The end of the season is absolutely unacceptable. Players and stuff include Lampard got a lot of money but their performance is unprofessional. Absolutely disgrace!

  • Time for "Top-scorer, Legend, The-Manager" to step up...if he screws up these last 2 chances, he'll never get another manager job again....ever....

  • MU 3-1

  • what a scam this 3 points per win system is, United get to play UCL with 14 GD while Liverpool will go to Europa League with 28 GD.

  • @GioMonaldo one match was the 14 goal difference

  • @GioMonaldo LOL Dumb scouser comment

  • @harteless from your dad?

  • @GioMonaldo Are you new in football? Or you're just having fun when making stupid comment? If using old 2 pts/win system, Man Utd with 50pts, Lpool 47pts. And 2 pts system was revised, because we want to see more attacking football. EPL was the first league to use 3pts per win, later other league followed.

  • Man United will win but they will always wish they were as good as Manchester CITY

  • Rashford resumed training this week and is expected to play.

  • @Marbella He is on the Subs bench.

  • fade chelsea

  • Now Chelsea has a terrible period but I believe they can win

  • @DaniRav It's been a while since ManU lost at home.
