Team News

Borussia Dortmund
Mainz
  • Star midfielder Jude Bellingham is nursing a knee injury which ruled him out last weekend in Augsburg.
  • Jamie Bynoe-Gittens needs a shoulder op and is ruled out.
  • Andreas Hanche-Olsen is available after suspension but Ludovic Ajorque is on the naughty step after picking up his fifth yellow last weekend.
  • Key man Jonathan Burkardt will only return in the summer after a knee operation, and Silvan Widmer will be out for several weeks with a heel injury.
  • Robin Zentner has a back injury, while Alexander Hack has problems with his adductors.

Prediction

  • League leaders Dortmund need a win to deny Bayern an 11th successive Bundesliga success and haven't featured in a 0-0 draw in some 122 games, a run stretching back to October 2019.
  • Mid-table Mainz appear to be already "on the beach", but need to bounce back from four successive defeats, which have damaged their European qualification hopes.
  • Dortmund have won their last four against Mainz and can seal a ninth German championship with the three points.

  • Imagine Koln getting the equaliser, Dortmund will be crowned as the worst champions in Bundesliga history.

  • @Byakuya Koln drawing now LMAO. Bayern or Dortmund, both are terrible champions.

  • @vieri Leipzig have been the best team in Germany in terms of quality of football in the last few seasons. If Nagelsmann had stayed there, he would have probably won the title with Leipzig. Which would have been a much better achievement than winning it with Bayern. But no, he chose money and "fame" instead.

  • Lol...Borussia...what a bunch of spineless morons...

  • Boys, we've said this many, many times. It's called "gambling." If you can't afford to lose, don't bet- easy!

  • fix of the century for sure

  • @koziol.mutant yeah sure, every unexpected result is a fix

  • Well that’s pathetic…

  • That penalty missed...

  • @tatoluis It's the offside goal at 92nd min for me, it would be epic if they would win it with scoring 2 goals after 90.

  • @Byakuya that´d be dope

  • they are botteling it they are botteling it tell d world they are boteling it.Last game of d season ,home game ,game vs 9th place mainz and they go to play 4-5-1 just to give bayer anoter bayernleage title.

  • Biggest bottlejob in history. Borussia Dortmund are officially worse than Tottenham Hotspur.

  • @Sputnik lol not even close, Dortmund actually won some titles, even UCL, and some league titles not that long ago. Bottleham won't even play UCL next season. Even Barca are bigger bottlers than Dortmund.

  • @GioMonaldo Dortmund won UCL not that long ago ? When was that ? Not in this millennium as far as I know.

  • @neumi17 no I meant just the league titles

  • @GioMonaldo I agree that Barca post-2016 are bottlers, but Barce pre-2016 were one of the best teams in Europe. If not *the* best. They're not a traditional bottling team. Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham and several others are.

  • It was almost impossible to bottle this for Dortmund but somehow they managed to not win. They disappointed in EVERY single import game this season, incredible. Bayern actually didn't deserve it this season but Dortmund certainly neither.

  • @neumi17 lolwut! Bayern not only fully deserved the title, but they deserved to win it by 10+ points. Dortmund lucky to even get this close to the title, would've been the most undeserved winners in recent history.

  • Disappointing and I'm not even a dortmund fan

  • LMAO Dortmund. They're really competing with Arsenal as the biggest bottlers.

  • @vieri They are the worse.

  • Easy win for the home team as they can't waste away this opportunity to be crowned in front of their fans on the last match of a successful season.

  • @bopol just hold their beer and wait

  • @wilde I never seen this b4.

  • @bopol Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @Sputnik I couldnt even sleep the whole night.

  • Dortmund thought they would just turn up and easily win..

  • Sebastien Haller came back from testicular cancer to kill Dortmund's title hopes

  • Dortmund have bottled it for the Bundesliga title.

  • @Marbella Thanks, Captain Obvious!

  • Match fixing. Lol

  • @Ceo imagine believing that

  • @wilde Imagine being Polish :-D

  • @Sputnik nobody chooses their country of birth afaik, if you think it's somehow insulting you're mistaken :)

  • Dortmund to win

  • Just fire everyone.

  • Dortmund bottled it and the sky is blue. Move along nothing to see in Farmerliga.

  • Bayern win title on goal difference ?

  • @Marbella Bayern are celebrating :)

  • For Dortmund just one word : Ridiculous !

  • can't remember the last time I watched a german league match, i'm excited for this one

  • @Renewed Still exited ?

  • @neumi17 LOL!

  • 1-1

  • Dortmund 4-1
