Team News

Barcelona
Real Sociedad
  • Gavi is set to be the only absentee for as he is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
  • Umar Sadiq and Martin Merquelanz are both sidelined with knee injuries. Brais Mendez also joins the injury list with a muscle problem.
  • There are no suspensions for Real Sociedad.

Prediction

  • Barcelona secured the league title in their last game as they beat rivals Espanyol 4-2 on the road. The next four games won't mean a lot to Xavi's side, but players will want to show their quality and keep their place in the squad for next season.
  • Real Sociedad will want to take advantage of any complacency from Barcelona as they look to finish in the top four. They did however drop two points in their last game against Girona despite leading 2-0. Sociedad are unbeaten in their last five games.
  • Sociedad have not beaten Barcelona since 2016, when Oyarzabal scored the winner in a 1-0 victory against a Barca side featuring Andres Iniesta, Neymar, and Lionel Messi.

  • What an embarrassing champion ...

  • @neumi17 why?

  • @wilde They only scored 65 goals in 35 matches, less than any other first placed team in Europe. Points in total are of course very good but the way they play offensively is very disappointing. On top the lose at home when their fans wanted to celebrate the championship. So embarrassing is maybe the wrong term, more disappointing.

  • @wilde Like Liverpool in 19/20

  • bold prediction with 2.5 trust me base on my analysis

  • @zackgh "trust me" is always one of the most solid arguments. Ok, you persuaded me.

  • I like Real but when Whoscored picks the dog to win, Barca 3-0

  • @Oversonly Maybe they do have some expertise.

  • Very bold prediction. Motivation is on side of La Real, but Barcelona is playing on home turf still high from winning title. Another thing is that Barcelona always beats them with reason. Both are possesion teams (Barca leads leauge with 64% and La Real is 4th with 55% per game avg). When similar teams meet one with more quaility wins. I go with Barca win here. Under 3.5 yellows also seems like solid bet here.

  • @Ewerfekt Well, maybe not so bold after all.
