Both teams have a lot to prove if they're to replicate the success of last season. It's always difficult to predict the opening day, yet history very much favours the Manchester side of this North-West clash. City have won all 6 of the last 6 meetings between the 2 sides in all competitions, keeping clean sheets in all 6 of those games too.
