Team News

Crystal Palace
Tottenham
  • Roy Hodgson remains without no fewer than five players for Friday's welcome of Tottenham, with Michael Olise and Eberehi Eze among those absent.
  • Matheus Franca made his Palace debut off the bench against Newcastle last time out and might start.
  • Jeffrey Schlupp will be assessed.
  • Yves Bissouma returns following a ban and should replace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the middle of the park, though Bissouma does remain one booking away from another suspension.
  • That might be the only change to the side that started Monday's 2-0 win over Fulham.
  • Pape Matar Sarr was forced off in the second half against the Cottagers, but Ange Postecoglou put that down to illness and he should be fine to start here.

Prediction

  • Crystal Palace were torn apart by Newcastle last time out as they returned to the capital with nothing to show for their efforts. Saturday's 4-0 loss means they have won just one of their last five league games and they have failed to score in three of four home matches.
  • Spurs returned to the top of the Premier League with a professional 2-0 win over Fulham on Monday night and they can extend their lead at the summit on Friday night. The north London side won their last trip to Selhurst Park, though that did end a four-game winless run at Palace.
  • That said, Spurs look solid in all areas of the pitch at present and should open up a five-point lead at the top to kick off gameweek 10.

  • Another great three points for Tottenham but it's still a bit too early to get carried away and start designing a home kit with gold trim.

  • spurs to pay back for the liverpool goal here, even with var it must be a handball

  • If Maddison avoids injury Son could finish the season with 30 goals.

  • From Danny Kwon on That Tottenham Group: "Son's very first EPL goal was against Crystal Palace in 15/16 season. Son's goal against Crystal Palace in 18/19 was the first ever official goal at the new stadium. Son's first and second goal of the 19/20 season was against Crystal Palace. Son played as a striker. Son ended 11 games goal drought with a goal against Crystal Palace in 22/23 season. Son scored 7 goals and 2 assists vs Crystal Palace in 8 seasons. Will Son score this week against Crystal Palace?"

  • Palace 0-1 Tottenham

  • 0-1 or 1-1.

  • Tottenham hasn't scored over 2 goals, this season expect with Burley(home) (2-5). Also recorded a 0-1 win again Lupton. Great but not the exceeding goal scoring we want. Tottenham to win or draw OR over 0.5, OR handicap (4:0) to Crystal Palace.

  • Totenham DNB

  • 1-2

  • Spurs to score at least twice

  • A full strength palace would give spurs a good game. Think spurs will grind this one out for a nervy narrow win.

  • @deadelvisgrin I agree. A full strength Palace, especially at home would be tricky for Tottenham. Olise and Eze are a big misses for Palace and Tottenham should edge it.

  • @deadelvisgrin but palace will not be in full strength without Eze & Olise

  • @wdetac I think you misread his comment. You agree with each other.

  • @wdetac my point exactly, injuries will be the killer for palace, still be a close game though. Spurs should edge it depending on their injuries.

  • under 2.5

  • 1-1
