9 years of Klopp's era, United finished above Liverpool 4 times meanwhile Liverpool finished above United 5 times including this season. Only 1 PL title and it was during pandemic, their so-called best team ever and golden era of Liverpool while United having their worst time in the last 40 years. Rivalry aside, he did very well with what he has given. He made the right choices with the transfers, none of them turned out to be flops except one or two. Had an available squad at full strength mostly, safe to say got lucky with injuries for some key players but also rotated the squad well and gave chances for others to shine. The ones who hate him had their own reasons, mainly because overexcited Liverpool fans and media overrated him too much but that's not his fault. He won't be remembered as among the best after this generation but great guy and great coach in overall, wishing him the best for the rest of his life.
@Byakuya What do you mean it's not his fault? He could have acknowledged it and said to the media at least once "please stop posting random pictures of me hugging my players, I want to be known as a football coach, not a circus clown or someone from an AA meeting".
@Byakuya Completely devoid of nuance. To get 1 title out of 3 90+ point seasons is essentially bad luck, you can argue that they only achieved these point tallies because of being pulled along by City, but I don’t think that’s fair. Additionally, the years Liverpool have struggled under his management have exclusively been down to massive injury crises. We finished 3rd in 20/21 playing almost half the season with Nat Phillips and Fabinho as CBs, and his first season (15/16) where he inherited Rodgers’ squad can hardly be used against him. You’re also ignoring that he won a Champions League with inarguably the greatest semifinal comeback in the competition’s history. Objectively he’s not Ferguson or Pep level, and I don’t know many even among my fellow Liverpool fans that would argue the Ferguson point especially, but it’s asinine to suggest he’s not the next best after Pep in the post Ferguson era
@sarigginsUSA Very arguably.
@sarigginsUSA It's competition, you can even call Liverpool lucky to find only one proper opponent for title. More teams finishing over 70/80 points nowadays, it's not that special. I can actually refute all you said with just one season of United, 18/19 with Mourinho. Remember all those injured players during Europa League celebrations? 81 points in the league as well, that would bring him a title in the past. There's no way you're putting Klopp ahead of him, won many titles with Chelsea as well. I'm not even talking about how bad United has been, it's a real shame that Klopp only has one up so no excuses are accepted. You barely made out of that CL group, lost many games despite not even having great opponents like in the past. Bayern almost lose the title to Dortmund that year and Barca was during the edge of their downfall. You're saying post-SAF era as if it's not just an 11-year span, he will stay as just a small part of your big history.
@Byakuya There is a massive difference between 81 points and 97. Sour grapes and heresay. Enjoy Ten Hag ball bozo
@sarigginsUSA Do you also want to compare the quality of those players, their availability and how literally everyone around Mourinho was against him meanwhile Klopp got carried by refs just for an exciting title race? No, you're just being a clown. Your so-called best ever side barely made any better than the worst United in those 9 seasons, nothing you will say will change that so just don't embarrass yourself more and enjoy struggling again under your new baldie.
@Byakuya Poor United fan who is just jealous coz they can't get the right coaches all these years. Congratz on no European football again next season.
@Whizzkid86 Poor Liverpool fan who can't contradict the facts I gave so he just leaves his tears below my comment, cry me a river.
All in Liverpool win
