Team News

Liverpool
Fulham
  • Liverpool continue to be without Thiago Alcantara, Andy Robertson and Stefan Bajcetic.
  • Diogo Jota and Alisson both suffered injuries against Manchester City last weekend and look set for a number of weeks on the sidelines.
  • Joao Palhinha will return to the starting XI for the visitors, having served a one-match suspension against Wolves last Monday.
  • Alex Iwobi, who netted the opener against Wolves at Craven Cottage, should keep his place here.

Prediction

  • Liverpool earned a draw at the Etihad last weekend, with Trent Alexnander-Arnold's second-half strike cancelling out Erling Haaland's opener.
  • The hosts will head into this clash in third place, and at least two points behind leaders Arsenal.
  • Liverpool have won every home match they have played so far this season in all competitions.
  • Fulham's 3-2 victory over Wolves on Monday evening was their first in four Premier League matches and brought their points tally for the season to 15, alongside both Crystal Palace and Wolves.
  • Marco Silva's side, however, have not won away from home since the opening day at Everton, and that doesn't look like it will change here.

  • How is that an own goal by Leno?

  • @sailorripley Trent's FK hit the bar and went in off Leno

  • @WilliePete Did it? Still hardly an own goal...

  • @sailorripley If a shot is goal-bound it will count as a goal for the striker of the ball. For this example, when the ball is directed into the goal while not being goal-bound it will count as an own goal since the keeper directed the ball into the goal after it was not goal-bound anymore. It's a very simple rule.

  • @Big_Boss This is such a stupid rule. Leno didn't make a mistake. A-A made a great shot. Why don't they make rules that make sense?

  • @sgshaw It actually makes sense since the ball would not find the goal if not for the keepers interference. It's unlucky, but he still is the culprit.

  • @sgshaw It wasn't off target. Here's a better rule. Whichever player is deemed (by an official scorer) to have been more responsible for the goal shall be credited with the goal. If the scorer determines equal responsibility for the goal, the the goal shall be credited to the offensive player.

  • @sgshaw Funny thing is that I think Trents rating would probably be 9 or 10 if he had been given credit for the first goal as well as the 2nd.

  • @sgshaw it was a shot off target that wouldn't have gone it had it not hit Leno

  • Draw

  • Why Allison isn't playing?

  • @MichelGB301 He is expected to make a return for the Manchester United match. Could be sooner or later.

  • @MichelGB301 Injured

  • Wonderful goals from Liverpool, good fight from Fulham so far. Though I am a Liverpool fan, I have to admire the game as a whole as being exactly what we need more of in the premier league

  • poor game by kelleher

  • @Terry 3rd goal was also pretty terrible from Caoimhin so I have to agree overall. Bailed out in the end by Endo bringing some composure and Trent having a blinder of a game

  • @Terry I think the first one yeah he has to do better, second one is the kind only world class keepers save tbf.

  • Klopp likes clean sheets, so 2-0

  • Liverpool win & Over 2.5

  • Overrun

  • Liverpool have scored at least 3 goals in 5 of their 6 league home games.
