- Hibs boss Nick Montgomery named two changes to the Hibernian team that was swept aside 3-0 by Rangers at Easter Road, before they came from two goals down to pick up a point against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park in a 2-2 draw.
- Paul Hanlon returned to the starting eleven, replacing fellow Hibs stalwart Lewis Stevenson, as Jordan Obita moved out to left-back. Joe Newell, whose goal sparked the Hibees into life in Ayrshire, was joined by Dylan Levitt in midfield.
- Emiliano Marcondes, on loan from Bournemouth, was handed a starting berth against Killie. Myziane Maolida - who netted Hibernian's equaliser in Ayrshire - started from the bench alongside other January recruits Luke Amos and Nathan Moriah-Welsh.
- Stephen Robinson named two changes to the St Mirren side that advanced in the Scottish Cup fifth round courtesy of a sole goal success against Queen of the South, before they lost 1-0 to Rangers in Paisley last Saturday lunchtime.
- Club captain Mark O'Hara returned to the Saints starting lineup after a calf injury, taking Caolan Boyd-Munce's place in the middle of the park. Greg Kiltie made his 100th appearance for the Buddies against Rangers at the weekend.
- Conor McMenamin is also injured, so Lewis Jamieson was handed a start on Saturday. New signings Jaden Brown - on loan from Lincoln City - and James Scott - on loan from Exeter City - were sat amongst the substitutes against the Gers.
